The production process requirements are divided into the following points.

1. The ink must have good adhesion and mechanical properties. Since tinplate prints are ultimately made into food cans, toy cans, metal frame cans, bucket cans and chemical cans, which need to be cut, bent and stretched, the ink must have good adhesion to tinplate and corresponding mechanical properties. In order to improve the adhesion of the ink, the horse's mouth should first be ironed on a white background before printing. White is the basic color for all pictures and is very bright. After adding other high-energy colors, a color sequence can be formed by increasing the brightness of each color.

2. Special structure of printing equipment. Due to the different printing materials, the auxiliary mechanism of the tinplate printing machine is also different from that of the offset printing machine. Iron is insoluble in water and does not absorb solvents, so the ink needs to be baked at high temperature to cure the solvent volatilization binding force. Therefore, the printing process equipment generally needs to be equipped with a drying room. The automatic printing production line of tin plate is generally about 50 meters long, and has the characteristics of precision and large volume.

3. Requirements for color ink. The color ink printed on tinplate not only has a certain water resistance, but also has its special requirements. Since the surface of the tinplate is impermeable to moisture and solvents and needs to be dried, its ink should be heat-curing. The tinting ability and durability of pigments are very demanding. Iron ink should not only have the basic properties of ordinary offset printing ink, but also have the characteristics of heat resistance, strong ink film adhesion, impact resistance, good hardness, cooking resistance, light resistance and other characteristics according to the characteristics of iron.
